Cupid is Carrie Cutter, an obsessed admirer of Green Arrow. Carrie grew insane after volunteering for a top-secret program called Cobalt, which turned her emotions up to the extreme when it came to falling in love. Other effects included memory loss and increased strength. Another character named Cupid is the god of love in Roman mythology. In Greek mythology, his counterpart is the god Eros.
Cupid was first adapted by Dave Berg for America's Greatest Comics #5 (1942). Carrie Cutter was created by Andrew Kreisberg and Mike Norton, first appearing in Green Arrow and Black Canary #15 (2009).
